Configuration Control Specialist
Purpose and Scope:
The core function consists of: developing, operating and maintaining both
1.Document Control system: maintain the document control system,
create and maintain SOPs, protocols, work instructions, and related
documents.
2. Configuration Management system: manage document hierarchy, develop
drawing trees, capture the as-built configuration of all first article
systems, assure the correct drawing and bill-of-materials revisions are
released and in use, enforce peer review policies.
Essential Duties,
Responsibilities, and Authority:
1. Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles,
theories, concepts, and techniques.
2. Provide ownership for specific Symtx processes or Quality projects.
3. Maintain record systems, to include E-Matrix document control
database and physical departmental files
4. Generate and distribute various reports to key individuals
5. Ensures accuracy and integrity of document control system
6. Conducts system configuration and document package audits
7. Coordinates the approval process, including facilitating and
executing of documentation though document change control process
Job Requirements:
Education and Training: Associates degree with at least 4 years experience
or BS with at least 2 years preferred. Certifications in:, Quality,
Auditing, dafting
Technical Requirements: Experience in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook with
excellent Word processing skills, ISO 9000:2000 or AS9100 environment,
Experience with E-matrix very desirable, Previous Aerospace or Medical
industry document control experience preferred, and AUTOCAD, PRO-E or
similar drafting package preferred .
Industry Experience: 2 – 7 years

Sr.
Program Manager
Position Qualifications (include Education, Experience, Special Skills, Job
Duties)
The Program Manager will provide project and technical leadership to design
engineers in the development of custom test systems. This is a customer
interface management position that is pivotal to the success of our company.
The Program Manager position is responsible for detailed project planning
and plan development; work task definition; cost analysis and estimating;
managing the development of the of HW/SW electrical and mechanical design;
managing schedule; reporting project status/budget; risk mitigation; and
overall financial responsibility for projects. While managing multiple
projects, the Program Managers has primary responsibility for customer
satisfaction, schedule/budget adherence, and oversight for all aspects of
resource planning and allocation.
Requires BS/MSEE or related technical degree and 8 -10 years of test, design
or related technical design experience, and 5+ years managing
multiple/simultaneous short-term projects; will consider exceptional
candidates with BBA/MBA education and proven project management experience
in a technical field. Prefer PMP certification and DOD experience with
current security clearance. Must be an excellent communicator both
verbally and in writing.

System Engineer, Test Services Support
Center (TSSC)
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsibilities will include development of test definition, test equipment
design and support of electrical and mechanical test systems at a Test
Services Support Center (TSSC) at customer locations. This position is
located at offices in either Charleston, SC or Everett, WA; travel to
headquarters in Austin, TX may also be required.
JOB DUTIES:
-
Capture test requirements
particular to aircraft systems and develop Detailed Test Plans (DTP) for
verifying the Build Verification Requirements.
-
Responsible for
submitting, tracking, coordinating and statusing the progress of the DTP
document through the customer DTP approval process. The end product of
this effort is to deliver approved Detailed Test Plans to the customer.
-
Provide Ship Side support
to resolve assembly/test issues.
-
Support Symtx Austin
engineering teams in implementing the test systems defined by the
detailed test plans; perform as the subject matter expert for several
aircraft systems and provide design direction.

Provide troubleshoot and
failure analysis support for customer production test
-
Comply technically with
contract-dictated Statement of Work, policies, directives, regulations,
and documentation.

Prepare and submit
program and customer required reports.
TSSC Activities include:

EQUIPMENT USED IN PERFORMING
DUTIES:
Personal
computer and applicable software; general hand tools; general electronics
test equipment (meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.); diagnostic
equipment (hardware); and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic power tools.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:

walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking,

position will be exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally

using measuring devices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND

Excellent

test related activities related to aircraft production, aircraft
systems, subsystems, and equipment utilized for test operations.

Position operates as part of
a development team and in coordination with the Project Technical Lead,
Design Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers assigned to each project.
Position reports to the Project Technical Lead. After requirements capture
and DTP phase, limited travel Charleston, SC will be required to support
test systems development and integration efforts.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
1.
Bachelors Degree in engineering or equivalent plus a minimum of 10 years of
related experience.
Master’s degree a plus.
2.
Direct
experience with the design, integration and test of complex electrical or
mechanical test systems
for aircraft production and test
3.
Broad
technical expertise in the design/development and test of electronic systems
4.
Demonstrated ability to work with customer engineering requirements and
translating them into in to test
procedures.
5.
Strong
interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with the customer
throughout the entire project.
6.
Airframe
and Powerplant license is a plus
7.
